Astoria is a located at the northwestern corner of Queens in NYC. Astoria is sorrounded by the East River and is next to three other Queens surroundings : Sunnyside, Long Island City and Woodside. In the first half of the 17th century Astoria was first inhabited by the Dutch and Germans. The next act of settling came in the 1890s when Czech, Irish and Italian immigrants moved to Astoria.
